The purpose of this project is to improve the coherence between Danmarks Miljøportal's growing number of exhibition platforms.
The project includes the modernisation of Danmarks Miljøportal's data exhibition platforms with the aim of creating easier and more coherent access to environmental data. We have learned through dialogue with our users and surveys that more people want a single access to all Danmarks Miljøportal's data. That is why we bring together our exhibition platforms via a new component. This means that users will easily be able to jump across Danmarks Miljøportals's exhibition platforms with its active location, layers and any drawn polygons.
The first phase of the Great User Journey has been completed. This phase consisted of the launch of Danmarks Miljøportal's new website, where a new search box on the front page constitutes the starting point of the journey. From here, you can search for an address or land register, after which you will be sent to Danmarks Arealinformation. At Danmarks Arealinformation, you can view all the available data from Danmarks Miljøportal on a map and see information about a land register or address. From here, you can be guided to Kemidata, where you can search deep data from environmental studies in the sea, lakes and watercourses carried out by municipalities, regions, the state, utility companies, etc.
Phase 2 includes the development of a new system, Artsdata, which will replace Naturdata. The purpose of the data is to create easier and more coherent access to data on species observations and nature surveys in Denmark. The system will be connected to Danmarks Arealinformation and Kemidata, so that the user can also easily switch between systems. Read more about the development of Artsdata.
We continue to work to create an intuitive connection between the environmental data that can be found across the various exhibition platforms. Therefore, the number of systems in the user journey is continuously expanded, so that in the long term you will be able to move across several of Danmarks Miljøportal's systems. This allows you to easily examine the same area with several different data and methods.
The search you encounter on miljoeportal.dk will also be expanded, so you can search on our HelpCenter and get help further with the help of artificial intelligence.
We look forward to being able to unveil more of the upcoming improvements.
The project is aimed at users who use Danmarks Miljøportal's solutions, such as the owner parties (the state, municipalities, regions), citizens, NGOs, research institutions, IT companies, consultants, utility companies, the construction industry, the financial sector and agriculture.
