Launch: Artsdata Beta

Danmarks Miljøportal is pleased to invite our users into the beta version of Artsdata. In Artsdata, you can search for data from species observations in the wet nature (data from VanDa), and provides the opportunity to filter by geography, data owner, locations, sampling location and date of observation. The results can then be downloaded to Excel for further analysis and processing.  

This means that users who miss the species filtering on Kemidata (former Miljødata) can now do this on Artsdata. 

In the long term, the system will be expanded with species data on the terristial data, and makes it possible to access data on species observations and nature surveys from arter.dk and Naturdatabasen. 

The new Naturdata 

Artsdata is a new and upgraded version of Naturdata, and the system therefore retains several functions from Naturdata. The purpose of the upgrade is to improve the system's user interface and connection to Danmarks Miljøportal's other systems. With the upgrade, the system will change its name to Artsdata, which is a more accurate name for the system's content and to distinguish the system from the Environmental Portal's other systems. 

There will be parallel operation of the two systems until Artsdata is fully developed, expected in the autumn of 2025. 

Part of "Den Store Brugerrejse"

Artsdata is part of the second phase of Den Store Brugerrejse, which is a cross-cutting project in Danmarks Miljøportal. The project aims to modernize Danmarks Miljøportal's data exhibition platforms and create easier and more coherent access to our data. You can read more about Den Store Brugerrejse here.
