Arealdata.dk by Danmarks Miljøportal contains over 1000 detailed data sets about Denmark nature and envorinment, such as soil types, protected natural areas and land use. This makes it easy for authorities, companies and farmers to access updated knowledge about environmental data, land management in Denmark and which environmental protection rules apply.
Arealdata is a system aimed at IT professional users. It aims to provide a comprehensive and detailed overview of all data that is (publicly) distributed by Danmarks Miljøportal. This means both data that Danmarks Miljøportal itself owns, as well as data that is distributed on behalf of others. These include the Danish Climate Data Agency (Klimadatastyrelsen), municipalities, regions, and the state and universities.

Arealdata consists of both a data bank and the user interface Arealdata.dk. Arealdata gathers all Danmarks Miljøportal's data in one unified databank for distribution to the professional user via Arealdata.dk or directly via the databank.
