Banedanmark's new sensors keep an eye on known beaver and extreme weather

Banedanmark is in the process of installing 1200 sensors in nature, which they expect to be up by the end of 2026. But the current 2-300 sensors have already averted problems, including from a nationally known beaver. At the same time, municipalities and research institutions are eager to get their hands on the meters' data, which is shared freely on Danmarks Miljøportal.

A new European collaboration will strengthen the data basis for better environmental considerations and societal assessments in the planning of offshore wind. In the SUSTAINOW project, partners from 11 European countries are developing new digital tools and a common data platform to strengthen environmental protection, transnational planning and faster decision-making processes.

Dialogue with environmental data to simplify building applications

New AI solutions from Danmarks Miljøportal will help companies in the construction industry find their way around the jungle of environmental data they need for environmental assessments and the many reporting forms that must be filled out for projects – by entering into a dialogue with the data. Confederation of Danish Industry (DI), which has as a priority to make project applications easier, is pleased with the prospect of streamlining.
