The future monitoring of water quality will be tested in Copenhagen as part of a larger EU project. In the project, Denmark is at the forefront of developing new measurement methods and a digital infrastructure that can set a new standard for water quality management in European cities. DMI is launching a new warning system that makes it possible to warn citizens and emergency services up to a day before flooding from rivers and lakes hits. Danmarks Miljøportal has provided a database and IoT standard for the warning system.
