We are proud to announce that Miljøportalen has been nominated for the Digitalisation Award 2026 in the Coherence Award category. The nomination is by MARS together with SGAV, in addition, DMI's national warning system is also nominated, to which Danmarks Miljøportal contributes.
Danmarks Miljøportal, 10 February 2026
The Digitalisation Award is an annual award that celebrates public digitalisation projects that make a difference for citizens, businesses and authorities. The award will be presented in several categories at the OffDig conference, which will take place on 18 March 2026 at the Concert Hall in Aarhus.
Danmarks Miljøportal and the Danish Agency for Green Area Conversion and Aquatic Environment (SGAV) are nominated with the MARS system, which is a tool for planning, administration and realisation of the national set-aside efforts in Denmark. The system supports the authorities' work to create an overview, coordinate efforts and translate data into action. At the same time, the public can follow the development of the implementation of the green tripartite via the status module. MARS has been developed in collaboration with Globeteam, Septima and SGAV. Access the system here.
In addition, DMI's National Flood Warning System has been nominated, which has been created in collaboration between DMI, GEUS, the Danish Climate Data Agency, the Danish Coastal Authority, SGAV, SMHI and Danmarks Miljøportal. Danmarks Miljøportal has delivered the common public database and the IoT standard that is behind the warning system. The database collects and standardises data from several different data sources and makes these easily accessible to authorities and emergency services.
Both systems are based on strong collaborations, for which we are very grateful: because it is precisely the collaboration that makes it possible to make environmental data more understandable and usable in practice.
The Coherence Award nomination category is awarded to projects that create better coherence and overview in the public sector and make it easier for citizens and businesses to solve tasks across authority boundaries.
The winners will be announced at OffDig on 18 March 2026 and we cross our fingers.
Thank you to all partners and users who contribute every day to strengthening our common data foundation and creating better digital solutions for the environment.
