Improved search in the latest version of Lagvælgeren

We've updated the search in the latest version of the Lagvælger to now be supported by AI.

Danmarks Miljøportal, 23 April 2026

The new search function makes it easier and more intuitive to find relevant data. Instead of just searching with single keywords, you can now phrase your search as a phrase or a question. For example, you can write: "Where can I find data about my local nature?" or "What do I need to be aware of if I am going to build a carport?" and be presented with the data sets and collections that best match your query.

The search has thus become broader and more flexible, which makes the Lagvælger more accessible - even for users without specialized professional knowledge.

The new solution is also more robust against spelling mistakes, so you can more easily find what you are looking for, even if the search is not quite accurate.

The update is part of our ongoing work to strengthen the use of artificial intelligence in Danmarks Miljøportal. In the long term, the goal is to make it possible to engage in an even more dialogue-based interaction with data.

You can already find the latest version of the Lagvælger in, among other places, Danmarks Arealinformation. The other systems will be updated continuously.
