Danmarks Miljøportal, 27 October 2025

Globeteam and Septima is nominated for the Grunddataprisen for their work with MARS ( Multifunktionel ArealRegistrating Ssystem). The system is developed for the Danish Agency for Green Area Conversion and Aquatic Environment by Danmarks Miljøporta, Globeteam and Septima.

We at Danmarks Miljøportal are very proud to be part of the development of MARS and congratulate Globeteam and Septima on the well-deserved nomination. In the MARS project, Danmarks Miljøportal has facilitated the collaboration between partners around the system, and we are responsible for the technical operation of the system.

Effective collaboration

The development of MARS is the result of effective cooperation, where courage, trust and respect have been the driving forces. In a short time, it has been possible to create a well-functioning system because all parties have had a common goal and an open approach. Through close dialogue, mutual understanding and a solution-oriented way of working, MARS has become a concrete example of how collaboration across authorities, organisations and suppliers can create fast and sustainable results.

The development continues with the same energy and spirit of collaboration to make the system even better and ensure that MARS becomes a strong digital foundation for the green transition.

What is MARS?

MARS is a comprehensive tool for planning, administration and realisation of the national set-aside efforts in Denmark. With MARS, the local tripartites, set-aside consultants, coastal water councils and landowners get one tool to plan and coordinate specific set-aside efforts in the open country. Basic data on addresses, roads, aquatic environment, climate, nature and cultural heritage form the foundation of the system. You can visit the system here.
